Police raid snares fly-tipping suspects in Birmingham

BBC cameras filmed the moment police arrested a suspected fly-tipping gang in Birmingham.

It was part of an operation led by the city council's waste enforcement unit, which is cracking down on the problem.

In 2015 the West Midlands region's councils responded to 60,000 incidents of fly-tipping, according to Defra.

This was a 19% increase on the year before and it cost taxpayers £3.5m.
