Killer 'Coseley Spider' and dinosaurs on show at museum

The terrifying extinct predator known as the 'Coseley Spider', from the Black Country, has gone on display in Birmingham.

The spider, which chased its prey before killing it with powerful jaws, can be seen alongside dinosaurs and fossils going back millions of years at the Lapworth Museum of Geology.

The museum, at the University of Birmingham, has undergone an extensive multimillion-pound refurbishment.
