Wife of Germanwings victim Martyn Matthews give first interview

The wife of a British man killed in the Germanwings plane crash is calling on the Government to prevent similar tragedies.

Relatives of the 150 who died have been told the pilot who deliberately downed the aircraft had been referred for psychiatric treatment a fortnight before.

But doctors were not allowed to tell his employer because of confidentiality rules.

Sharon Matthews, from Wolverhampton, gave her first media interview since her husband Martyn Matthews, 50, died in March 2015.

She said: "We've lost everything...and the Government must act to make sure it can never happen again."
