Potential £33m Lotto winner 'nervous'

A shopkeeper said a customer was "nervous and frightened" when she came forward claiming she bought the £33m unclaimed Lotto ticket in his shop - but had washed it in a pair of jeans.

The unnamed woman went to Ambleside News in Warndon, Worcester, after National Lottery operator Camelot said on Friday the winning ticket was purchased in the city.

Shop owner Natu Patel said the ticket had the winning numbers, but the date and barcode were illegible.

Camelot said it will investigate and asked the woman to send them the ticket within the next 30 days.
