Digbeth becomes Birmingham social enterprise quarter

Digbeth has been officially designated as a new social enterprise quarter in Birmingham

A total of 57 social enterprises have been identified in an area between High Gate and Hurst Street.

It is hoped the announcement, the first in the city, will now attract more businesses to the area.

Social enterprises do not qualify for any special funding, but it is argued there are economic benefits of them being clustered together.
