Two-year leak 'may have damaged' Wolverhampton homes

Residents of a Wolverhampton street have said a water leak that has lasted nearly two years may have damaged their homes.

Carter Road resident Andrew Brass said the leak was believed to be from an unoccupied house and to try to get Severn Trent Water to repair it had been a "nightmare".

The leak was first reported in October 2011.

Neighbour Gina Duricki said the leak was keeping her awake at night, adding the noise was "like having a motorbike out the house".

The water company said it was not coming from a pipe it owned and the firm was working with its legal team to try to get the leak fixed.
