Gay couple homophobic attack on Reading to London train

A man who was set upon by homophobic youths while travelling from Reading to London with his partner after a night out on Valentine's Day has spoken to the BBC about his experiences.

Phillip Poole said "four or five men" got on the train in west London and started abusing his partner, Zbynek Zatloukal, before punching them in the face.

Mr Poole who lives in Maidenhead lost two teeth in the attack and suffered bruising and cuts.

British Transport Police said they were investigating the incident at Ealing Broadway Station.
