Three Mile Cross gardens affected by spate sewage flooding

Homeowners in a Berkshire village have been told not to use their gardens after they were pumped with untreated sewage due to a "technical fault".

The gardens of a number of properties in Basingstoke Road, Three Mile Cross, were flooded with sewage after heavy rainfall last week.

Thames Water said it will take 10 days before the problem is resolved.

One resident claimed that 270 new homes in the area could have contributed to the pumping station becoming faulty.
