Four bid for Hertfordshire police commissioner role

Four candidates are in the running to become Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire.

PCCs, as they will be known, will be responsible for setting priorities for their police force, overseeing its budget and hiring the chief constable.

In Hertfordshire, the commissioner will be in charge of a budget of £184.3m and a force made up of 3,600 police officers and more than 400 special constables.
