Bedfordshire RAF base closes down

RAF Stanbridge, one of the smallest bases left in the UK, is closing down.

It was opened in 1939 as the main communications base for the RAF.

A special ceremony has taken place to mark the end of more than 70 years of history ahead of the site's complete closure in March 2013.
