Star Wars: Cast fly to Gatwick from LA on 'R2-D2' jet

The cast of the new Star Wars film The Force Awakens were flown into Gatwick from Los Angeles on an R2-D2-themed aircraft.

They touched down at the airport in a customised All Nippon Airways 787-9 Dreamliner ahead of the European premiere of the movie in Leicester Square, central London, on Wednesday.

Stars from the original series including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher have joined newcomers including John Boyega and Daisy Ridley in the latest film.
