New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton opens £38m emergency centre

A new £38m urgent care and emergency centre has opened at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.

The building combines an Accident and Emergency department with the radiology and X-ray department and is three times the size of the previous A&E building.

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust said it brings all urgent care needs under one roof.

A spokesman said the old area was cramped and built for fewer patients.
