Trans Pennine Trail trip in 4WD wheelchair

An RSPB manager is undertaking a 215-mile (346km) coast-to-coast trip to highlight problems with disabled access to the countryside.

Roy Taylor, from Denby Dale, West Yorkshire, has Motor Neurone disease and is travelling for 10 days on the Trans Pennine Trail in a four-wheel-drive wheelchair.

The trip started in Southport and is due to finish in Hornsea, East Yorkshire. His route will also pass through South Yorkshire.
