East Midlands students receive A-level results

Students in the East Midlands have been collecting their A-level results.

Charnwood College in Loughborough reflected the national results, with a rise in the number of overall passes but fewer top grades.

De Montfort University in Leicester said it had dealt with up to 30 calls a minute on Thursday as students phoned to find out about the clearing process.
