Musical ear syndrome: Managing musical hallucinations

Shelagh Fogarty meets the 84-year-old Liverpool grandmother with a rare syndrome which means she hears music all day and all night.

Cath Gamester has musical ear syndrome, a condition resulting in musical hallucinations, which is thought to result from a problem in the brain's wiring.

Around one in 10,000 people over 65 have the condition in the UK.

Psychiatrist Dr Nick Warner offers his advice on making life more bearable for those with musical ear syndrome.
