Newspapers risked 'undermining the rule of law'

The president of the Supreme Court, Lord Neuberger, has said elements of the press risked undermining the courts during the judgement on Article 50.

One newspaper branded judges "enemies of the people" for ruling that parliament should vote on the decision to trigger the mechanism for withdrawal from the EU.

"Some of the things that were said risked... undermining the judiciary, and therefore undermining the rule of law," he told the Today programme.
