Dame Kate Barker: Population, not housing causing strain on services

The government has announced the first 14 successful bids to create so-called "garden villages" across England.

Dame Kate Barker, who carried out an independent review of the UK housing supply she tells the Today programme that resistance to further housing developments ignores the fact that a rising population is the reason services such as GPs are stretched thin.
