Knife crime: Why are more young people carrying blades?

Knife crime has risen by 9% across the UK, and in London by 16%, in the past two years.

Police say most of those caught carrying blades have no links to gangs.

Lesley Ashmall reports for the Victoria Derbyshire programme on why some young people break the law to carry a knife.

The Victoria Derbyshire programme is broadcast on weekdays between 09:00 and 11:00 on BBC Two and the BBC News channel.
