Met Police criticised over child abuse cases

Children in London are being put at risk because of "serious failings" in the way the Metropolitan Police deals with child sexual abuse, inspectors have found.

HM Inspectorate of Constabulary found 75% of cases were dealt with "inadequately" or needed improvement. The lead inspector for the report, Matt Parr, told the Today programme "the Met as a whole took their eye off the ball".
