Great-grandmother becomes children's author aged 85

A great-grandmother who has Alzheimer's disease has become a first-time author at the age of 85.

Joan Porter, from Bearsden near Glasgow, worked as a children's nurse and invented her stories for the young patients on her wards.

Half a century later, two of her stories have been published, with potentially more to follow.

Pauline McLean has been to meet her.
