Calls for Jo Cox 'hero' Bernard Kenny to get George Cross

There are growing calls for a pensioner who tried to save MP Jo Cox to be officially honoured for his bravery.

Bernard Kenny, 77, was stabbed as he tried to help Mrs Cox when she was attacked.

Now an online petition is calling for him to be awarded the George Cross.

Residents in Birstall, West Yorkshire said Mr Kenny was a "hero".
