Sir Cliff Richard: Gloria Hunniford says star has found past two years 'difficult'
The broadcaster Gloria Hunniford has said the allegations of historical sex abuse against Sir Cliff Richard have "taken a terrible toll" on him, both physically and mentally.
Sir Cliff has welcomed a decision by the Crown Prosecution Service not to prosecute him, but said he was angry that he had been publicly named at the beginning of the investigation.
Ms Hunniford, who has known the singer for 45 years, told BBC presenter Martha Kearney on World at One that it had been a "very difficult" two years for him.
