War-wounded dog given military honour

A military dog which lost a leg sniffing out a roadside bomb in Afghanistan has been awarded the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross.

Lucca, a twelve-year-old German Shepherd, took part in more than four-hundred missions with the US Marine Corps in Iraq and Afghanistan. helping protect hundreds of troops by detecting hidden munitions.
