Fire Brigades Union condemns PCC oversight plan

Government plans to merge control of fire and police services have been condemned by the Fire Brigades Union.

The Home Office is due to take control of fire and rescue policy in 2016.

Ministers argue the move would save money but the FBU says it would cause the "fragmentation" of emergency services.
