'Jihadi John' Islamic State militant targeted by US strikes

US forces have carried out an air strike targeting the British Islamic State militant known as "Jihadi John", who was seen in videos of the beheadings of Western hostages.

A US military source said there was a "high degree of certainty" that Mohammed Emwazi, the Kuwaiti-born British militant, had been killed in Thursday's attack in Raqqa.

Prime Minister David Cameron has said it is not certain yet whether the strike was "successful" or not.

Frank Gardner reports.
