Briton Jacky Sutton found dead in Istanbul airport

A British woman who was found dead at a Turkish airport was "a serious professional" who "knew the risks" of her work, her employer has said.

Ex-BBC journalist Jacky Sutton, 50, is understood to have been found dead in a toilet at Istanbul's Ataturk airport. The circumstances are unclear.

She was the acting Iraq director for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) and had been travelling to Irbil, northern Iraq.

The organisation's executive director Anthony Borden told the BBC that they wanted to ensure that an "in depth, detailed, forensic investigation is undertaken."
