Are you brave enough to sleep in a bothy?

There are dozens of properties scattered across some of the most beautiful parts of the UK that are open and free for anybody to stay in.

They are called bothies and you could end up sharing your mountain hideout with a few strangers. But do not expect creature comforts as most do not have beds, heating or even a toilet.

The charity that looks after around 100 of them is turning 50 this week, so BBC Breakfast sent John Maguire to Wales for the full overnight experience.
