Generation 2015 profiles: Jonathan Rimmer

I'm 22 and from a wee west coast town called Oban.

I run Scotland's most popular hip-hop blog and write for several other publications. I also play drums when I get the chance.

I'm a big fan of music artists who use rap to voice their desire for social change.

My left-wing values partly come from my parents, but I wouldn't consider myself a nationalist.  I've lived in England, Scotland and Wales (and briefly Italy) and have family all over the UK.

I was brought up to believe that the poorest and most vulnerable in society should be looked after, which is why I'm most passionate about issues like austerity and the welfare state.
