Hashing: Runners follow woodland trail by torchlight
If you go down to the woods today you might well bump into hares and hounds involved in a hash.
It is not a strange form of hunting or a woodland ritual. In fact, it is the world's biggest non-competitive, social running sport.
The pack of runners or hounds follow a trail set by a lead runner - the hare - setting false leads, short cuts and dead ends.
