Feelings of 'loneliness' and 'despair' this Christmas

A poll commissioned by the BBC suggests that seven per cent of the population - around four-million people - expect to spend most of Christmas Day alone this year.

Two-thirds of those questioned admitted they should do more to help family, friends and neighbours who are lonely.

Speaking to the BBC, Stacy Bostock and Kate Burchell, explained how Christmas makes them feel more isolated than ever.
