The papers: Thursday's front pages

Media commentator Neil Midgley and Guardian deputy editor Paul Johnson joined the BBC News Channel to review Thursday's front pages.

They began by discussing the Times's coverage of David Cameron's speech to the Conservative Party conference, before moving on to the Sun's front-page which claims credit for some of the prime minister's proposals.

The pair also looked at the Daily Telegraph's take on the PM's pledges, and the Daily Mail's praise for Mr Cameron as a "real Tory premier".
