Victims right of review scheme aims to help victims

A scheme to allow victims of crime to challenge decisions of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has resulted in nearly 150 suspects being charged in the last year.

Figures disclosed to BBC News show that the suspects were charged after previously being told they would not be prosecuted.

The Victims' Right of Review scheme, set up last June by the CPS, applies to England and Wales.

Danny Shaw reports.
