Heathrow CEO apologises for T5 baggage backlog

A backlog of bags stuck at Heathrow Terminal 5 should be cleared today, the airport's Chief Executive has said.

John Holland-Kaye explained that a problem with an IT system on Thursday was compounded by the large number of bags in the system at this time of year.

Speaking to the BBC's Steph McGovern, Mr Holland-Kaye said it had taken 'too long' to resolve the problem, and apologised to passengers who had been affected.
