Coalition row over school places funding

Senior Liberal Democrats have increased pressure on the Education Secretary, Michael Gove, accusing him of diverting funds meant for local authority-run schools to free schools.

The Lib Dem deputy leader, Sir Malcolm Bruce said Mr Gove should be "reined in".

A spokesman for Mr Gove called the Lib Dem claims "totally wrong".

Iain Watson reports.
