The papers: Monday's front pages

Broadcaster Penny Smith and the political commentator Sean Dilley reviewed Monday's newspapers for the BBC News Channel.

The discussion began with a look at the way the papers were reporting the latest events in Ukraine after pro-Russian militants seize government buildings in the east of the country.

A Financial Times story about the chancellor's plan to give the taxman new powers to clamp down on evasion and avoidance was also examined.

Other talking points included the Daily Mirror's front page story about giant rats immune to poisons and the coverage of the London Marathon.
