London bus crash: Two people critically injured

About a dozen people have been injured, two of them critically, in a bus crash in south London.

Two passengers who were trapped on the double-decker bus in Kennington have been freed, London Fire Brigade said.

The front of the number 59, which was heading to King's Cross, was crumpled against a tree near the Ship pub on Kennington Road.

Members of the Metropolitan Police, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade gave a statement on the incident.
