Npower cuts 550 jobs at Stoke office with more redundancies expected

Npower has announced that its offices in Stoke-on-Trent are to close, which will lead to 550 job losses.

The energy firm is set to cut 1,460 jobs in total and workers at the energy firm across the UK are waiting to hear if they'll be made redundant.

Another 570 employees are expected to be outsourced within the UK.

The firm says the cuts are part of a major restructuring programme.
