Tony Hall: Sir David was a great figure for the BBC

Veteran broadcaster Sir David Frost has died at the age of 74 after a suspected heart attack while on board a cruise ship.

The director general of the BBC said Sir David was one of the most influential people in broadcasting.

Tony Hall described him as an extraordinary man and a huge figure for the BBC and broadcasting around the world.
