Syria: UK draws up contingency military plans

The UK is drawing up contingency plans for military action over an alleged chemical attack in Syria, Downing Street says.

A government spokesman said that discussions were continuing with international leaders and that any response would be in compliance with international law.

A meeting of the National Security Council has been convened for Wednesday.
