Lifeboat launches increase during hot July

Lifeboat call-outs went up by more than a third during this year's hot July compared to the same month in 2012.

The RNLI said boats in the UK and Ireland were launched 1,639 times last month and has urged people to take extra care when near water this Bank Holiday weekend.
