Twitter apologises for 'unacceptable' threats

Twitter has apologised to women who have experienced abuse on the social network.

Its UK general manager, Tony Wang, said the threats were "simply not acceptable" after a week in which three female journalists and a member of parliament revealed they had been subjected to bomb and rape threats via the site.
