The mission to destroy leftover Bosnian weapons

Police have confirmed the grenades used by Dale Cregan to murder two police officers are from the former Yugoslavia.

The UN and UK forces are working hard to destroy the huge stockpiles of weapons in Bosnia, Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia and Montenegro.

The Royal Navy's Lieutenant Commander Gareth Jones is part of the mission in Bosnia.

He told BBC 5 live's Breakfast: "The issue is getting to grips with the complexities of the weapons that are left... making sure they are disposed of safely and securely".
