Animator's tribute to 'unique' Bob Godfrey

Bob Godfrey, the animator of Roobarb and Custard and Henry's Cat has died at the age of 91.

His friend, the animator Richard Williams, told the Today programme that Godfrey was a "hilarious", "unique" and "marvellous guy".

Richard Williams said that Mr Godfrey would say of his industry that the professionals were "stuck in a rut" and the amateurs weren't "good enough" so he described himself an "am-pro".

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Saturday 23 February 2013.
