Malala Yousafzai: Girl shot by Taliban 'has been standing'

Doctors treating the 14-year-old Pakistani schoolgirl, who was shot in the head by the Taliban for campaigning for girls' education, have said she is making good progress.

Speaking at news conference, Dr David Rosser said the teenager is now able to stand with help for the first time and can communicate by writing notes.

Malala Yousafzai is being seen at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
