Jimmy Savile's gravestone broken up and thrown into rubbish

The headstone on Sir Jimmy Savile's grave has been broken up and will be sent to landfill after it was removed from the cemetery in the early hours of this morning.

The presenter's family asked for it to be removed out of respect to public opinion.

Meanwhile Cleveland police have confirmed they have received the first complaint from a man who says he was sexually assaulted by the star when he was 9 years old.

David Sillito reports.
