School 'utterly devastated' after boy killed by ball

The head teacher at the school where Kyle Rees died after being hit by a cricket ball, has said they are "utterly devastated" by his death.

The 16-year-old died after apparently being hit with a cricket ball at Portchester School, Bournemouth, on Monday.

Police are said to be investigating reports of a mass brawl in the playground.

Executive Head Debbie Godfrey-Phaure said a memorial service would be held for Kyle, who "was a lovely, lovely boy".
