UK team 'ready' to save lives in earthquake-hit Japan

A team of British rescue specialists is heading to Japan to help in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami.

Fifty-nine search and rescue experts will travel with four medics and two sniffer dogs.

The team is made up of experts from fire brigades across the UK.

Neil Pickersgill from Greater Manchester says they hope to get there in time to save lives.
