Dr Rosemary Leonard on warnings over allergy testing

Many parents have their children checked for allergies, but parents are being warned today not to use unproven testing kits from online and high street companies.

The health watchdog NICE says parents should go to their GP instead following concerns that children could end up malnourished if too many types of food are cut from their diet.

BBC News spoke to GP Dr Rosemary Leonard who said there is a real problem that people are setting themselves up as nutritionists, when they actually have no qualifications at all.
