Met questioned over phone hacking probe
The acting head of the Metropolitan Police is likely to face questions later today about the investigation into phone hacking at the News of the World.
It comes a day after the force said it was launching a fresh investigation after receiving "significant new information".
The BBC has obtained legal documents which suggest that journalists from the News of the World still attempted to hack into the phone of at least one high-profile figure as recently as last March.
Previous allegations of wrong doing at the paper related to events up to 2006.
The paper said there was no evidence of the claims, describing the report as "misleading".
