B&B owner on fine for refusing gay couple double room

The owners of a hotel who refused to allow a gay couple a double room acted unlawfully, a court has ruled.

Peter and Hazelmary Bull, from the Chymorvah Hotel, Cornwall, said it was their Christian belief not to let unmarried couples share a room.

Outside Bristol County Court, Mrs Bull said their double bed policy was based on their beliefs of marriage and it was 'applied equally and consistently' to all couples.
